About
Emanuel Blanco – Professional Genealogist specialized in Ashkenazi Jewish genealogy.
Drawn from an early age to the history of Jewish families dispersed by the turmoils of the 20th century, I began to develop a passion for genealogy in 2009, conducting my own amateur research on my ancestors.
Eager to deepen my expertise, I received a Certificate in Genealogical Research at Boston University in 2014, before pursuing the ProGen curriculum between 2015 and 2016 with other aspiring professional genealogists.
Armed with this solid training and with my personal research in the field, I decided to offer my services as a professional genealogist to anyone wishing to rediscover their roots and the history of their family.
Specializing in the genealogy of Ashkenazi Jewish communities, mainly originating from Central and Eastern Europe, I am proficient in several languages useful in this type of research. I am a member of several genealogical societies, including the Association of Professional Genealogists (APG), and I have subscriptions to numerous specialized databases. My rigorous approach and detailed knowledge of relevant genealogical sources allow me to effectively shed light on the origins and history of Ashkenazi Jewish families whose branches may have been dispersed and scarred by the tumults of the 20th century.
Whether you wish to establish a lineage, trace a lost ancestor, or expand the genealogical tree of a dispersed family, I can accompany you in this remembrance work with professionalism, passion, and humanity.
As a graduate in Mathematical Engineering from EISTI, France (now CY Tech) and the holder of a MSc. in Management from Grenoble Ecole de Management, I know how to combine rigor in research with an understanding of the human stakes involved in this vital need to reconnect with one’s origins.
